Langdale 2009

Simon Booth has clearly got back into the strong training routines of old as he takes the win at the final round of the English Championships at Langdale.

It was a great win in a strong field as he gets back into his old form. Last week at the IHMR he reported that he was feeling good and found his leg quite easy....Good signs of more to come.

We had a usual strong turnout from the club with Mark Roberts also taking a win in the V45 category and finishing 12th overall. Martin M-B was having a great run out until a fall on Blisco meant he had to jog back (hope you're sorted soon Martin). Steve B put in another good performance as did our new club Champion (Paul C), this was a good session for the pair as they go to the FRA relays to run in the Open and V40 teams respectively.

As usual Borrowdale had lots of runners at Langdale but a few regulars were missing. Morgan Donnelly was on International duty at the World Long Distance Mountain Running Championships in Austria, Scoffer has been unable to train recently, Chris Steele is recovering from an illness following an 8th place at Puyada a Oturia (World Trials Series, Spain) and Nick Fish didn't get an entry in in time!
